Manly Hospital Auxiliary
Manly Hospital has joined forces with Manly Auxiliary to buy three AirVo systems for use at the site. The AirVo delivers respiratory support and airway hydration to a broad range of patients who require assistance breathing on the ward. ED NUM Joanne Watts said the staff were delighted with the new equipment. “We are very grateful for this kind and generous donation,” she said. “This technology supports the excellent care we give our patients to achieve the best outcomes.
Caroline Finlay, Treasurer, said the Auxiliary was happy to contribute towards the AirVos which cost $3000 each. "They will help in Emergency and on the ward to help patients breathe, so this will hopefully mean that patients will not have to go into intensive care", she said.
